178 Mr. Noonan asked the Minister for Education and Science if a person (details supplied) in Dublin 2 who has retired from his Department will have service elsewhere in the public service credited to him for pension purposes; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15644/00]

Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods):

The person in question retired from my Department on 31 October 1999 and received a retirement pension and lump-sum based on reckonable service for superannuation purposes.
