Question:50 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the current position with regard to the proposed national park for Ballycroy, County Mayo. [15332/00]

The position remains as outlined to the Deputy in my reply to his Questions Nos. 205 and 206 of 17 Bealtaine 2000.
Negotiations on the acquisition of a suitable site are still in progress. I should say, however, that there will be no question of my Department paying an unrealistic price for a site for the new visitor centre.
