Vol. 521 No. 3

Written Answers. - Autism Services.

Tony Gregory

Question:

123 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health and Children the residential accommodation appropriate to the needs of a person (details supplied) in County Dublin with autism, who requires her own room and special programme, and who is due to leave St. Paul's Special School, Beaumont in August 2000. [17047/00]

The provision of health related support services to persons with autism in the Dublin region is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority in the first instance. I have asked the chief executive of the authority to investigate this matter and to reply directly to the Deputy.
