Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Durkan – the treatment of persons transferring from disabled person's maintenance allowance to disability allowance; (2) Deputy Gormley – the serious staffing problems at St. Bridget's national school in Haddington Road; (3) Deputy Sargent – the need to introduce a new Finance Bill to counter the huge increase in inflation; (4) Deputy Matt Brennan – the delay in commencement of work on a one-stop shop in Tubbercurry, County Sligo; (5) Deputy Jim Higgins – the directive by the Garda Síochána outlining new security arrangements for the holders of licensed firearms; (6) Deputy Neville – the extension to Pallaskenry national school, County Limerick; (7) Deputy Crawford – the need to announce the date on which grant aid will be available for farm waste management and dairy hygiene purposes; (8) Deputy Gregory – the threatened loss of teachers in two national schools (details supplied) which serve the drugs task force area of Inchicore, Dublin, 8; (9) Deputy Broughan – the urgent need to include a social welfare increase in the Finance (No. 2) Bill, 2000, to compensate for inflation.

The matters raised by Deputies Gormley, Neville, Crawford and Broughan have been selected for discussion.
