Vol. 522 No. 2

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Tony Gregory

Question:

256 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in Dublin 10, who is three and a half years on a waiting list in St. James Hospital, Dublin 8, will have a knee replacement operation in either the new Tallaght Hospital or in Cappagh Hospital, Dublin 11. [18308/00]

The responsibility for the provision of services in the hospitals referred to by the Deputy now rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate this matter and reply directly to the Deputy.
