481 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Education and Science the progress, if any, in relation to an application for refurbishment works at CBS primary school, Kilkenny; if he will expedite the application and give approval in view of the urgent need to have the works carried out. [18250/00]

My Department's building unit has sought a report in the matter from the local Office of Public Works. As soon as this report is received I can assure the Deputy that the matter will be progressed further. The management authorities will be kept informed of developments.
