82 Ms Fitzgerald asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the number of appointments made to boards, semi-State and private, under the aegis of her Department in each of the years 1997 to 2000; if she will give the number and percentage of males and females appointed to each board; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [17909/00]
The information sought is outlined in the following appendix. I remain committed to achieving gender balance on State boards and, where women of the calibre and relevant experience are available, have always considered them for appointment.
