182 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Health and Children the action he proposes to take to ensure that a 14 month old person (details supplied) from County Waterford will have her urgently-needed heart operation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18781/00]
The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Waterford in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
