Vol. 522 No. 3

Written Answers. - School Transport.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

231 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science if a school transport service will be supplied to children attending Coláiste Cois Life, Grifeen Valley, Lucan, County Dublin, to service Leixlip, Celbridge and Maynooth; if so, when; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18583/00]

Pupils from the Leixlip, Celbridge and Maynooth areas of County Kildare currently avail of scheduled bus services to attend Coláiste Cois Life post-primary school, Lucan, County Dublin.

An application for the establishment of a school bus service to the school in question was recently received in the school transport section of my Department. A report has been sought from Bus Éireann. The Deputy will be informed of the outcome as soon as possible.
