Vol. 522 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

John Perry

Question:

94 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will ensure that a copy of the 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999 area aid applications for a person (details supplied) is immediately released given that he has requested them on numerous occasion and needs them before 29 June 2000 for his installation aid application; if he will ensure that they are sent via fax to the fax number provided; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18859/00]

The copy applications for the years in question were faxed to the number provided for the attention of the person named on 27 June 2000.

John V. Farrelly

Question:

95 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a person (details supplied) in County Meath has not been paid his area aid for 1999. [18860/00]

The person named is not the registered owner of the herd number quoted.

However, in relation to the herd number referred to, a milk quota was included in error in the stocking density calculation. This has now been amended and a further re-calculation of the stocking density under the 1999 extensification premium scheme will take place within the next two weeks and as the stocking density is less than 1.40 livestock units per hectare, this applicant will be paid his full entitlement to 1999 extensification premium.

Willie Penrose

Question:

96 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath is not being paid extensification premium on his land; the reason the Department is insisting that the person owns only 25.16 hectares despite his owning 25.74 hectares, given that this error by the Department is costing him £1,020; if he will ensure that this error is now rectified; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18861/00]

There was an over-claim on a parcel of land on the 1999 area aid application for the person named and the claimed area found was reduced to 25.16 hectares. The applicant has corrected the boundaries of this land parcel and the area is being re-digitised. When the land parcel has been re-digitised and validated any payment due to the person named will be made.

A re-calculation of the 1999 extensification premium will take place when the area aid is finalised and if the stocking density is less than 1.40 livestock units per hectare, the person named will be paid his full entitlement to 1999 extensification premium.
