Question:123 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Finance the reason for the delay in promotion of former assistant officers of Custom and Excise on the senior suitable panel to staff officer grade. [19117/00]
Written Answers. - Departmental Promotions.
I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that there are no delays in the promotion of clerical officers who were former assistant officers of Customs and Excise. There are no staff officer vacancies which are being filled on a senior suitable basis from the clerical officer – former assistant officers of Customs and Excise – grade at present. If the Deputy could provide further information then it may be possible to issue a more comprehensive reply.
