Vol. 522 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Emmet Stagg

Question:

148 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the fact that patients in St. James's Hospital, Dublin 8, and other hospitals who are left on trolleys must supply their own pillows and are not included in meals provided for in the hospitals; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19089/00]

Responsibility for the provision of services at St. James's Hospital and other hospitals in the eastern region now rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate this matter and to reply directly to the Deputy.
