Vol. 522 No. 4

Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

Jim Higgins

Question:

33 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will increase the grant level for individual households who have to drill individual wells for domestic water supply and who do not have access to group water schemes or public water supplies; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16405/00]

The minimum age of houses qualifying for these grants was recently reduced from ten to seven years but I have no proposals at present to increase the level of the grants themselves.
