Vol. 523 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

John Perry

Question:

531 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will intervene on behalf of a person (details supplied) in County Sligo and have her called for her treatment in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin 9, in view of the fact that her condition has deteriorated; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19391/00]

The responsibility for the provision of services at Beaumont Hospital is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority in the first instance. My Department has asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him as a matter of urgency.
