Vol. 523 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Water Supply.

Nora Owen

Question:

638 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Health and Children the current situation with regard to water supply in St. Ita's Hospital in Portrane, County Dublin; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there have been further complaints despite a major breakdown in water supply some months ago which was repaired; the moneys available to provide an adequate safe water supply for St. Ita's; if he will supply such moneys; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20472/00]

The maintenance of St Ita's Hospital is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority. I have, therefore, referred this matter to the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter and to reply directly to the Deputy.
