157 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when he expects work to commence on the provision of an extension to the sewerage system in Carrickmacross, County Monaghan; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21369/00]

This scheme has been included in the water services investment programme 2000-2002 to be advanced through planning. I understand that Monaghan County Council is in the process of appointing a client's representative to develop the contract specification.
