206 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Health and Children if funding had been approved for the new nursing unit planned for Gweedore, County Donegal; the amount of funding involved; the accommodation and other facilities being provided in the unit; and when it is expected that work will commence on the project. The provisions of services in Gweedore is a matter, in the first instance, for the North Western Health Board. The question of new or extended service provision, such as a nursing unit in Gweedore will be examined in detail with the board including the amount of funding involved, the accommodation and facilities to be provided, in the context of the priorities identified by the board under the national development plan.
