Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Dukes – the serious income losses for hill sheep farmers as a result of the replacement of headage payments by area based payments; (2) Deputy Gay Mitchell – the delays of up to three years in having the occupational therapy unit of the Eastern Regional Health Authority assess the needs of disabled and elderly people; (3) Deputy Timmins – the provision of speech and language therapy to a person (details supplied) in County Wicklow; (4) Deputy Clune – the need for a statement on the works that are being carried out in Killarney National Park by Kerry County Council in conjunction with Dúchas; (6) Deputy Ring – the up to date position on a school (details supplied) in County Mayo; (8) Deputy McGennis – the problems caused for school crossing attendants who are being denied unemployment benefit during the summer period; (9) Deputy Gilmore – the implications of last Friday's High Court decision regarding taxi licences; (11) Deputy Kenny – the recommended phasing out and closure of the breast cancer unit at Mayo General Hospital, Castlebar; (12) Deputy McGinley – the failure of the Department of Education and Science to provide school transport for a wheelchair bound pupil (details supplied) in County Donegal; (13) Deputy O'Shea – the need to provide full radiotherapy services at Waterford Regional Hospital in light of the comments by a cancer specialist (details supplied) that some breast cancer patients are opting for mastectomies instead; (14) Deputy Connaughton – the problems concerning the back to education allowance scheme for mature students; (15) Deputy Farrelly – the need to have assessment papers completed for apprentices for Dundalk Institute of Technology and other similar colleges; (17) Deputy Crawford – the need to restore services at Monaghan General Hospital; (18) Deputy Neville – the statement by a High Court judge on the welfare of disturbed children; (19) Deputy Moynihan-Cronin – the need to extend the concessions currently available to disabled drivers to post-polio victims; (20) Deputy Upton – the urgent need for the re-opening of the Mount Street creche; (21) Deputy Gormley – the failure of Dublin Docklands Development Authority to comply with the waste management licence relating to a site at Sir John Rogerson's Quay.

The matters raised by Deputies Farrelly, Timmins, O'Shea and Crawford have been selected for discussion.
