Vol. 524 No. 2

Written Answers. - Departmental Staff.

John Perry

Question:

238 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Finance if he will intervene on behalf of a person (details supplied) and have him transferred in view of the fact that he is on a transfer list for some time; if he will make a favourable decision in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22250/00]

The person concerned was recruited by the Civil Service Commission specifically for the office of the Revenue Commissioners in Dublin. As a new entrant he is required to serve for two years at this location before being released for transfer to another location. He was notified in writing of this condition in advance of taking up duty. When the two year period has been completed and should his name be reached on a transfer list, he may then be considered for transfer.
