A draft White Paper on the Mandatory Reporting of Child Abuse is at an advanced stage of preparation and a draft memorandum for Government issued to a number of Departments for observations at the end of July 2000.
The draft White Paper is at present being re-examined in light of some of the observations made. It is planned to bring the final draft of the White Paper to Government when these issues are fully considered.
