Question:

374 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of sergeants and gardaí assigned to each Dublin Garda station; the total population that each Garda station serves; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21897/00]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the number of sergeants and gardaí assigned to each district in the Dublin Metropolitan Area as at 1 October 2000 and the population figures, based on the 1996 census, for each district in the DMA are as set out as follows:
