Vol. 524 No. 2

Written Answers. - Road Accidents.

Billy Timmins

Question:

398 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he can furnish Deputy Timmins with a list of the accidents, fatalities and injuries that occurred on the Hampstown-Finode section of the N81 just north of Blessington, County Wicklow for the years 1985 to date. [22393/00]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that detailed statistics in relation to the total number of road accidents, fatalities and injuries that occurred within the area referred to by the Deputy since 1985 are not readily available from Garda records.

However, details in relation to road traffic accidents are available from the National Roads Authority, St. Martin's House, Waterloo Road, Dublin 4 who publish, annually, a report entitled "Road Accident Facts, Ireland".
