Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matter in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Dukes – the serious income losses for hill sheep farmers as a result of the replacement of headage payments by area based payments; (2) Deputy McGinley – the failure of the Department of Education and Science to provide school transport for a wheelchair bound pupil (details supplied) in County Donegal; (3) Deputy Séan Ryan – the urgent need for additional gardaí and resources for Swords, Balbriggan and Malahide Garda stations; (4) Deputy Gormley – the need to review the level of fines for companies who fail to comply with the terms of a licence for the remediation of contaminated sites; (5) Deputy Kenny – the recommended phase out and closure of the breast cancer unit at Mayo General Hospital, Castlebar; (6) Deputy Finucane – the need for a speech and language therapist for a school (details supplied) in County Limerick which has 30 children with a wide range of disabilities; (7) Deputy Gerry Reynolds – the need to immediately remove the 9% stamp duty and 2% annual tax on second properties in the BMW region; (8) Deputy Wall – the need for an adequate number of testers to ensure against delays in driving tests.

The matters raised by Deputies McGinley, Dukes, Gerry Reynolds and Wall have been selected for discussion.
