Vol. 524 No. 4

Written Answers. - Local Authority Housing.

Question:

120 Mr. Hayes asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will set out his response to a recent request by South Dublin County Council to change its scheme of letting priority by giving additional points to applicants who are living in a local area close to a proposed housing development; the date he received this request from South Dublin County Council; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22827/00]

No such request from South Dublin County Council has been received in the Department.

Question:

121 Mr. Hayes asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when he will be in a position to approve the next round of funding for the redevelopment of Avonmore-Bolbrook, Dublin 24, where a pilot project was first established by South Dublin County Council to improve accommodation needs within its administrative area; when the council first applied for such funding; the likely timeframe before a decision is made; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22828/00]

I assume the Deputy is referring to the proposed development of 11 houses at Bolbrook, Tallaght, by South Dublin County Council. I understand that the Part X planning consultation process was completed in September and the local authority intends to submit proposals to my Department shortly.
