Ivan Yates

Question:

514 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the fact that an eye scan machine in Wexford General Hospital, County Wexford is unable to be utilised and all appointments have been cancelled for those who require scans for cataract operations; if he will ensure that speedy action is taken to replace this in view of the problems being caused for patients in question. [24378/00]

The provision of services in this instance is the responsibility of the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to reply to the Deputy directly.
