602 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will have immediate arrangements made in order that a child (details supplied) in County Waterford is provided with the shoe, SA4, in order that he can have the benefit of his radio hearing aid in school in view of the fact that the very serious deterioration in the service to hearing impaired children since the abolition of the National Rehabilitation Board; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The provision of aural services for eligible persons in County Waterford is the statutory responsibility of the South Eastern Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of that board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
