855 Mr. Shatter asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will provide the funding required by Knocklyon Primary School, Dublin 14, to enable the existing permanent school buildings to be refurbished and redecorated; and his proposals in this regard. [24009/00]
The management authorities of Knocklyon senior and junior primary schools have applied to my Department for grant-aid towards additional accommodation. The applications are being dealt with as quickly as possible having regard to the large volume of such applications on hands within my Department.
As soon as a technical assessment has been undertaken of the schools' needs, my Department will be in contact with the school authorities to indicate the level of additional accommodation to be provided.
