311 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he has satisfied himself in relation to the franchise operation of the national car test; and if it is proposed to increase or reduce car test fees in this regard. [24989/00]

The contract between my Department and the national car testing service, NCTS, allows the company to apply periodically for a review of test fees. Such an application has recently been made and is under examination.
