Vol. 525 No. 5

Written Answers. - Departmental Staff.

Dan Neville

Question:

352 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of higher executive officers and executive officers who are currently engaged directly in settling dealings in the Land Registry. [25453/00]

I am informed by Land Registry management that currently there are 35 higher executive officers and 76 executive officers directly engaged in dealings work in the Land Registry and registration work in the Registry of Deeds with a further 11 higher executive officers and 11 executive officers working in support areas.

I should mention that five of the 11 higher executive officers in support areas are working in the information technology section in the support and development of information technology systems critical to the modernisation programme of the registries.
