364 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will provide funds to provide closed circuit television cameras in areas in Mullingar town as requested in an application from the Garda authorities. [25817/00]
I am informed by the Garda authorities that an application for a Garda CCTV system in Mullingar town was received in late September 2000. The application is currently under consideration by the advisory committee established by the Garda Commissioner to evaluate applications for Garda CCTV systems.
