157 Mr. Flanagan asked the Taoiseach the contractual and salary conditions and terms of employment of a person (details supplied) recently appointed to the staff of his office; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25406/00]
I have appointed a special adviser with effect from 13 November 2000. Her salary and terms of employment will be in line with the normal contractual arrangements applying to the post of special adviser and will be subject to sanction by the Department of Finance in the normal manner. In accordance with the provisions of section 19 (4) of the Ethics in Public Office Act, 1995, a copy of the contract and other relevant information will be laid before each House of the Oireachtas in due course.
