190 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Defence the situation in respect of Clancy Barracks, Islandbridge, Dublin 8; when it will be vacated; the plans he has for the site; the size of the site; the current accommodation capacity at the barracks; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25643/00]

I expect that Clancy Barracks will be vacated and put up for sale in 2001. The barracks comprises an area of 13 acres or thereabouts. It is configured to provide accommodation for up to 200 military per sonnel but these facilities are not of modern standard.

191 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Defence the size of the site at Cathal Brugha Barracks, Rathmines, Dublin 6; the current accommodation capacity at the barracks; the number of personnel currently stationed there; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25644/00]

The barracks comprises an area of 46 acres or thereabouts. The barracks provides accommodation for up to 379 military personnel. It is not the practice to disclose the number of military personnel stationed at any particular location.
