Vol. 526 No. 4

Written Answers. - Asylum Applications.

Nora Owen

Question:

248 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Finance if the Office of Public Works are involved in the location of a site and the provision of a centre for asylum seekers adjacent to Dublin Airport; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26946/00]

The Commissioners of Public Works are acting as agents on behalf of the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform in seeking proposals from parties interested in providing fully managed accommodation solutions for up to 400 asylum seekers. The accommodation is to be provided in temporary buildings on the tenderers' own site in the north Dublin area within a ten mile radius of Dublin Airport.
