Written Answers. - Civil Service Vacancies.
The 27 vacancies, arising in the authorised non-industrial Civil Service staffing cadre at the Office of the Houses of the Oireachtas, referred to in my response to parliamentary Question No. 244 of 14 November 2000, on staffing matters at that office occur in the following general areas and grades:
Administration and Committees:
1 Principal (Higher);
1 Principal Clerk;
2 Senior Clerks;
1 Deputy Head Usher;
1 Usher.
Library:
1 Assistant Librarian.
Translation Branch:
1 Translator Grade I;
1 Translator Grade II;
8 Translator Grade III;
Reporting Section
10 Parliamentary Reporters.

Recruitment to these vacancies is at various stages and every effort is being made to have the posts filled as expeditiously as possible in the light of the prevailing circumstances.
