Vol. 526 No. 6

Written Answers. - Commonage Division.

Michael Ring

Question:

196 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if people (details supplied) in County Mayo will be paid headage and premia while they submit the proof of their ownership of the commonage in due course in view of the fact that this commonage has been in their family for generations. [27300/00]

Where a herdowner includes commonage in an area aid application, he must provide proof of his entitlement to claim this commonage. In this case the persons named have been contacted by the area aid unit and requested to submit the relevant proof. Until this matter is resolved no area aid related payments can issue.
