Vol. 528 No. 1

Written Answers. - Nursing Staff.

Question:

228 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Health and Children if trainee nurses who have started their training in the UK can transfer to an Irish facility to complete their education; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29480/00]

It is not possible for students who have completed part of a pre-registration nursing education programme in the United Kingdom to transfer to the nursing diploma programme here because of fundamental differences between the structure and content of the respective programmes.
