Vol. 528 No. 1

Written Answers. - School Safety Provisions.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

409 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science if he has had any further discussions with other agencies in relation to improved safety provisions at St. Wolstan's Secondary School, Celbridge, County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29493/00]

My Department appointed consultants to prepare a traffic report regarding safety conditions at St. Wolstan's Community School, Celbridge, County Kildare. This report is expected to be completed shortly. In the meantime, a meeting was recently held between an official of the planning and building unit and officials of Kildare County Council where the question of improved safety at the school was discussed.
