246 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will arrange a re-examination of the application for extension of the school transport service to an area (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30142/00]

A report has already been requested from Bús Éireann in relation to transport for pupils from the area referred to by the Deputy. Account will be taken of the changes to the school transport scheme in assessing the report. The Deputy will be informed of the outcome as soon as the report has been received and assessed.

247 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will arrange a re-examination of the application for transport in respect of children in the Coolcullen area of County Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30143/00]

The application for school transport in respect of children from the Coolcullen area of County Kilkenny will be reviewed by the school transport section of my Department as soon as possible. The Deputy will be informed of the outcome as soon as the review is completed.
