1037 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of police officers from the London Metropolitan Police Force who have been recruited to the Garda Síochána as outlined in a recent newspaper article (details supplied). [1789/01]
I am informed by the Garda authorities that three persons, who had been officers in the London Metropolitan Police, have joined the Garda Síochána since April 1989. This figure is based on the information provided by applicants during the recruitment process. Information prior to April 1989 is not readily available.
