1113 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Education and Science when a full-time special needs assistant will be appointed to a school (details supplied) in County Roscommon; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1974/01]
My Department has sanctioned 15 hours per week special needs assistant support to cater for a pupil with special needs attending the school in question. My Department's inspectorate is currently investigating whether additional special needs assistant support is required by the school. The school authorities will be informed when the inspector's report has been received and considered.
