The particular information requested is not readily available for all the years in question. However, the following information is available on the assistant principals currently attached to my Department who were promoted in the years in question:

Of the 82 serving assistant principal officers appointed since 1 January 1998, 74 were formerly higher executive officers, six were administrative officers and two were redeployed from other grades in the public service. Three of the former AOs listed above were originally promoted by other Departments and subsequently transferred to this Department.
