Question:135 Mr. McDowell asked the Minister for Finance if he will make provision for an increase in the fees payable to the non-executive directors of semi-State bodies in the near future. [3725/01]
Written Answers. - Semi-State Bodies.
A revised schedule of fees for the non-executive chairpersons and directors of the boards of State bodies was approved by the Government in 1992. I am currently reviewing the level of these fees and it is my intention to bring proposals to Government shortly.

Question:136 Mr. McDowell asked the Minister for Finance if work is proceeding on guidelines for the corporate governance of semi-State bodies; if he will publish these guidelines; and if so, when. [3726/01]
Work is almost complete on a revised code of practice for the governance of State bodies, which will update and expand the State bodies guidelines published by the Department of Finance in 1992. I intend to seek Government approval for the revised code of practice shortly. On receipt of such approval, the code of practice will be circulated to all State-sponsored bodies. I intend to make the code of practice available on the website of the Department of Finance.
