Vol. 530 No. 3

Written Answers. - Departmental Staff.

John Perry

Question:

146 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Finance if he will intervene with the Civil Service on behalf of a person (details supplied) and grant him a transfer to any Department in Sligo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3935/01]

Transfers to provincial locations, such as Sligo, are arranged in accordance with an agreement reached with the staff side at general council under the conciliation and arbitration scheme for the Civil Service. An officer's placing on the transfer list for a particular location is fixed in order of date of receipt of the application in the Department concerned. The officer will be considered for transfer in the event that his placing on the relevant transfer list is reached.
