160 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children when persons (details supplied) in County Kildare will be offered orthodontic treatment; the reason for the lack of response from the Eastern Regional Health Authority since this matter was brought to his attention in October 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the provision of orthodontic services to eligible persons in the Dublin area is the statutory responsibility of the Eastern Regional Health Authority, I have again asked the chief executive officer of the ERHA to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
