Vol. 530 No. 3

Written Answers. - Medical Expenses.

Seymour Crawford

Question:

162 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan is granted only 20p per mile as assistance towards a taxi to a Dublin hospital where he needs to travel for urgent medical attention; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3659/01]

The provision of health services to the person in question is a matter for the North Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and reply to the Deputy directly.
