Vol. 530 No. 3

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

118 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when headage and suckler cow premium payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3893/01]

The 2000 area aid application of the person named has now been fully processed. He will be paid his entitlements under the 2000 suckler cow premium scheme, subject to the suckler cow quota which applies to him, and the 2000 cattle headage scheme, within the next seven days.

John Ellis

Question:

119 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if his Department will now pay headage and premiums due to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim who has answered all queries regarding his extensification. [3894/01]

The 2000 area aid application for the person named included a land parcel which was overlapping with land parcels claimed by two other herdowners. Letters were issued to the applicants concerned regarding the overlap in order to resolve the matter. Replies have now been received from the person named and another herdowner concerned. The situation has not, however, been resolved as a result of these replies. I am arranging therefore for an inspector from my Department to investigate the matter further. No payments can issue until the matter has been fully resolved.
