Question:167 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he proposes to close down the Garda station in Blacklion, County Cavan; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that if this happens the nearest Garda station will be in Manorhamilton, County Leitrim, 15 to 16 miles away; his views on whether it is acceptable for people in isolated areas such as Dowra, Glangevlin and Blacklion not to have the security and availability, when necessary, of local garda protection; and if he will give a commitment not to close Blacklion Garda station.
