55 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Defence the positions Irish military personnel are now holding, or intend to hold in the near future, in either NATO HQ or on the new military committees established within the European Union. [4042/01]
A total of ten Irish military personnel are holding, or it is intended will hold, positions within the European Union and the Liasion Office of Ireland to Partnership for Peace. A further two appointments to the European military staff have been offered to Ireland. A decision in this regard will be taken in the near future.
