Vol. 530 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

82 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the reason a person (details supplied) in County Kerry was refused a grant to plant trees; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4255/01]

I understand from the Forest Service of my Department that it was not possible to grant aid an application for afforestation in this case for both environmental and silvicultural reasons which have been communicated to the person in question. It is open to the person in question to appeal the decision of the Forest Service in this matter.
