Vol. 530 No. 4

Written Answers. - Speech Therapy Service.

Andrew Boylan

Question:

129 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there is only one speech therapist employed in the Holy Family School, Cootehill, County Cavan, to cater for 92 children; if he will immediately recruit two more speech therapists in order that these children get fair individual treatment; and when this recruitment will take place. [4190/01]

The information sought by the Deputy in relation to the provision of speech therapy at Holy Family School, Cootehill, County Cavan, is not readily available to my Department. I have asked the North Eastern Health Board for the information and I will forward it to the Deputy when it becomes available to me.
